ANALYSIS OF CATCH RESULTS AND CATCHING RATE OF SONDONG IN THE CITY OF DUMAI, RIAU PROVINCE

Rupat Strait one central areas for catching shrimp using sondong fishing gear. This study aims to determine and inform composition catch (amount type) rate gear in Pangkalan Sesai Village, West Dumai District, City, Riau Province. Data collection was carried out survey interview methods as well literature study. Catch analysis used interpretation Shindo formulation. results showed very effective with main 700.2 kg a 10.002 kg/hour form white (Panaeus merguensis), striped (Paneus sp), red monodon), proportion 85.07% bycatch 122.8 1.754 side fish (Psettodes evumei), mackerel (Cybium commersonil), tongue (Cynoglossus lingua) , squid (Loligo sea eel (Macrotema aligans) crab (Portunus pelagicus) 14.93%.
